Dr Charlotte Toms, A & E Doctor at Royal London Whitechapel My elderly father was unwell, in lot of pain was seen and assessed by Dr Charlotte Toms in A & E, Dr was kind, courteous, very thorough in her assessment, kept us aware of the situation, even after finishing her shift informed us of what will be happening and answered our concerns. Thank you Dr Toms and her team for great care and taking care of my father, god bless you all! Mr Raoof and family

very professional all round. When I mentioned a further lump that worried me, medical staff took this seriously and were very helpful.

I was in for MWA on metasteses in my liver. Not a big deal, but did involve general anaesthetic. Perhaps i should have been warned to empty my bladder before going under, and certainly should have removed my underpants. Not sufficiently warned about gassiness and bloating after anaesthetic -- perhaps shd have been advised not to eat anything solid on the day of the procedure. I had shepherd's pie from the call menu and suspect that this led to several days of very uncomfortable windiness, compounded by constipation. Now understand that painkillers in anaesthetic injection often cause constipation, and it might have helped if i had started on the laxatives earlier. Incidentally, the salt level in the shepherd's pie was extraordinarily high, which doesnt sit well in a hospital.

The ward was clearly very busy and staff needed to prioritise stretched resources. Sometimes it may be better not to be too time specific in advising patients of plans for the day. Anxiety can lead to frustration so a more open day plan could improve patient patience. Your staff are wonderful and should be rightly proud of their selfless work and cheerfulness They shine like stars and are a real blessing to those in need.

The professionalism and kindness shown by ALL Royal Marsden staff was much more than I had expected, even from such a renowned institution. From the persons at the main entrance, through the nurses, radiographers and doctors, everyone went out of their way to make my well-being their number one priority. They were always cheerful and helpful, explaining every stage of my visit to the Marsden and about my treatment. This was repeated by the persons I met while in the waiting areas. Examples are the radiographer who offered to bring me my medicine from the pharmacy so that I could rest and the doctor who came down to reassure me when I spoke to the nurses about some concerns. In summary my experience of the Royal Marsden merits 11 out of 10. Thankyou all.

You've done it all so many times before - I can't imagine what would have made my experience better.

Last Dec in2020 I went to see Ms J Rusby for breast cancer, she was so kind and sympathetic, she operated me immediately, The proceedure of mastectomy went really well. I was upbeat even though I had to nurse my sick husband. Ms Rusby has given me the right appraoch and encouragement to face the operation calmy. All went very well thanks to Ms Rusby and her team. They prepared me for the aftermath of looking after myself, the exercising too and they gave me a special bra. Since then I been back to see Ms Rusby and she was so kind to accept my requests everytime I needed her. I can not thank her enough for the professionalism and the kindless she offered me. I felt really at home at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Wonderful and admirable admin Annette who put me in the hands of Ms Rusby. The 3 nurses who helped me at all time with querries and worries. I highly recommend Ms Rusby and her beautiful team to all. Thank you Royal Marsden Hospital, I feel so blessed.

I was asked many times during the day if I was in pain or to describe the pain. However, whilst I was in CCU, I was still under the influence of the anaesthetic and so was not feeling much pain.
